#Thrive Thursday: Meet Heather Crider, Heather J. Crider & Co.

What is your story? Or in other words, what made you your awesome self you are today?

My life experiences have been many.  Full of death, divorce, depression, and disappointment.  But through those experiences, I’ve been able to become a better version of myself to share my gifts with others and to help them find success, fulfillment, joy, and well-being. (and yes, finding ways to make massive wealth too)

Growing up I thought success meant if you worked hard, got a good job, and dedicated yourself you would be ‘happy’.  So I did those things, was successful by society standards, but wasn’t very happy. When I was the most financially successful, I was the most miserable. It was when I realized I was looking in the wrong places for happiness and success. When I started truly searching within for my own strengths, values, beliefs, and clarity; THEN I was able to start to have contentment and fulfillment AND make a difference in other people’s lives! (and have even more success than I had ever had!)

My own struggles in life led me to research neuroscience and understanding how we think.  These discoveries, and a lot of searching within, have made me who I am today and will continue to evolve into. I’m determined to help as many as possible achieve the same!

What message do you promote?

What you think matters more than how hard you work! With a clear mind and heart, the world opens up to you!  You can have it all!

I believe in taking responsibility for our thoughts and being able to think in ways that enable us to be the best versions of ourselves, finding success, wealth, freedom, and ultimate fulfillment.  I believe everyone has much more strength within them than they even realize.  Through neuroscience and evidence-based techniques, we can overcome any obstacle our brains and life throws at us.  Through guided neuro coaching and through reflection using emotional intelligence skills, we can have a fulfilled life of abundance. High-performance begins with the fundamentals, and then needs to have help to keep in tune!

In what capacity do you LEAD UP in your community?

I’ve been featured in Forbes, USA Today, Thrive Global, and Start-Up Nation.

I serve on several boards and volunteer at my children’s schools.  I mentor many women and men helping guide them as best I can with resources to succeed.

My podcast, Go Reflect Yourself, is intended to provide as many resources as possible, as is my website!

In business and/or in life, share a struggle you overcame that other women can relate to

I’ve had many and am no stranger to struggle. I’ve left several careers/jobs in order to pursue a more meaningful life of harmony. 10 years ago I left my marriage and a hugely supportive family network, moved to a new city where I didn’t know anyone, started my two children in a new school district and started a new business. What I learned in this process is to trust yourself, trust your instincts, and to listen carefully to your body. The journey may seem dark and dreadful, but if you continue to listen to yourself, you will start to see the light along the journey and realize, there is no end, just curves, and continuations! (but at times life is hard, honor your feelings, and learn new ways of focusing!)

What is the most rewarding aspect of what you do?

Being a catalyst for change and growth. I am a fine-tuner of people, helping them harmonize their lives.  It’s incredibly rewarding to see these sparks of hope and to have people start to shine and show up as better versions of themselves. It’s exhilarating to see people less stressed and more present, thus creating joy and well-being. When you can help people create a life of ease, fun and abundance, there is no better reward!

How do you SHOW UP?

By listening, by showing up and giving 100% to everyone I encounter.  I care deeply for the growth of others and will pour every resource I have into others to help them achieve their dreams. And by living and practicing what I preach.  I’m a student first, never an expert…the more I learn and grow, the better equipped I am to help others.

If you could give one piece of advice for women who are entering the workforce or launching their own business what would that be?

YOU Have all the power you need within you…believe in yourself and tap into your inner strengths.  To help do this, meditate, journal, and seek the counsel of successful people whom you admire…learn from them, but always believe in yourself first no matter what! Be present in all things and life will be abundant beyond measure!
