What is your story? Or in other words, what made you your awesome self you are today?
I took a horrible negative experience in my life (domestic violence) and turned it into a positive by serving other women survivors of domestic violence through The Pink Bags. I donate A hot pink bag filled with over 30 bath, beauty, and stationery items to assist the women in performing therapeutic self-care
What message do you promote?
All of us survivors are Important, Valuable, & Loved
In what capacity do you LEAD UP in your community?
I attend vendor shows, I endlessly network, I am hosting my first ever conference.
In business and/or in life, share a struggle you overcame that other women can relate to:
My lack of self-belief from my abusive marriage made me second guess everything. I am so much better today, however there are moments I still second guess myself.
What is the most rewarding aspect of what you do?
Seeing the smiles and tears of joy from the women who receive a Pink Bag. Their hugs and gratitude are amazing.
How do you SHOW UP?
I get busy every morning! Whether it is attending my networking meetings, or participating in my Chamber of Commerce meetings, organizing my conference or meeting new people
If you could give one piece of advice for women who are entering the workforce or launching their own business what would that be?
Be kind to yourself! Be dedicated and determined in your journey
