What is your story? Or in other words, what made you your awesome self you are today?

Did you ever wake up, look in the mirror and wonder where did the time go, how did I get here and where am I going?
That was me the year I turned 40- the wrinkles deepened overnight and suddenly I had a longing in my heart to slow down, be intentional and live well in this next stage of life…but what would that look like?
I had noticed changes in my body after having children and focusing on their needs for many years… and I knew that in this next decade I was going to need to get to work on me or time and gravity would do their job.
I was ready to embrace the fact that I was aging, but wanted to do it gracefully.
And then there was this emptiness, knowing that as my kids were getting older, my role as mom would change…and who was I anyway? I felt like I had been so focused on getting through the days that I had forgotten to keep working on me – my gifts, passions, and...

What is your story? Or in other words, what made you your awesome self you are today?

As much as I wish I were ‘here’ sooner, struggling through my 20’s and 30’s has made me a fighter. Learning my strengths, voice, and how to show up. Especially as a girl in construction and sports; finding my place as being a challenge.

I started my business 2.5 years ago when I was let go from a position I adored. My ego was bruised, I was sad, but needed income. I called everyone I knew and started my business. Suddenly I was all in as an entrepreneur.

What message do you promote?

I truly believe that being authentic, including showing your vulnerability allows you to connect with others. Just being the best you can possibly be.

In what capacity do you LEAD UP in your community?

I try to be genuine, kind, and in the moment as much as I can. Show other people that they have their own power, and allowing themselves to show it will strengthen...

What is your story? Or in other words, what made you your awesome self you are today?

Three marriages, three divorces, four incredible children. I knew this life required me to be a mother first and foremost but had no idea what was beyond that, I didn’t even desire anything really. I worked part-time in the fitness industry which I loved and had no inclination to ever work in the “real world’.

It wasn’t until 11 years ago when my mental and physical health in my last marriage escalated that I sought counseling. Then I discovered kinesiology, then spiritual healing with kinesiology. My soul woke up and began speaking with me after all these years! I learned the modality of kinesiology to use on my personal training clients and while doing this, I awakened the healing gifts I carried. I am a healer, and I didn’t know it. I have been doing this for over ten years and am now on the verge of a monumental shift into writing books of my experiences,...

What is your story? Or in other words, what made you your awesome self you are today?

I was born in Freeport, a small town in Northern Illinois.  I love this town.  If you are from the area, then you know us as the home of the Freeport Pretzels (our high school mascot).  There are so many great things I can say about this town that gave me a strong foundation which has led me to my continuous success.  For starters, my family is there. I consider my family to be more than just a group of individuals related by blood.  My family includes my mentors, accountability partners, cheerleaders, and support system.  While I can never minimize the impact of male role models in my life, I was surrounded by strong women such as my mom, aunts, cousins, and sister who always supported me in the challenges that come when reaching for your goals.  Being from a small town gave me constant access to these very important individuals.

As an ‘80s baby,...

Women Wealth Builders-Let's talk 6 & 7 Figures!

podcasts Jun 05, 2020

Kelly O'Neil did not disappoint with her advice today on how to build the wealth of business to 6 figures and beyond. Growing up in an affluent family herself, she learned at an early age what is meant by having the mindset to apply the strategies to get what it is you want out of life and out of your business. She shared with our listeners today that as an authentic entrepreneur, who is a truth-teller, you need to get CLARITY first! To do this you must know what business it is that you want to start, what is the strategy needed to build it, and how much is it going to cost. Asking those questions will provide clarity on what your step #1 should be. Kelly is available as a private strategist, has programs she has developed to assist Entrepreneurs in attracting the affluent clients they are looking for, and you can find her online in a private group, Marketing to Millionaires Success Circle https://www.facebook.com/groups/M2MSuccessCircle/

What is your story? Or in other words, what made you your awesome self you are today?

After a decade of being a Mental Health Therapist, I found myself in an extremely narcissistic abusive marriage where he had an affair for 14 months of our 2.5-year marriage. You would think as a therapist, I would have recognized red flags and walked away but I didn’t. After our divorce, I remained committed to him for two years. In February 2018 the last traumatic event occurred and on February 15, 2018, I finally after six years of having him in my life I walked away from him. Four months earlier I had lost my six-figure income. So, there I was … no income and walking away from my ex. I was beyond traumatized. I felt empty and damaged. Oftentimes I had no idea how I was going to continue. When I tapped into my inner being, the messages I received during this time were: “You’re worthless.” “You’re not wanted.” And the worst one ... “You are...

What is your story? Or in other words, what made you your awesome self you are today?

I meandered a lot when I was younger, and certainly didn’t have a solid career path or plan but eventually chose human resourcesI’ve always been interested in fairness at work, probably because both of my parents are employment lawyers.

After fifteen years in corporations, I became an executive coach and started my own HR consulting firm. I really wanted to experiment with creating a company based on a culture of kindness. So far, it’s working!

I wrote my first “book” when I was nine, and eventually realized I’d better write another if I wanted to get published before turning fifty. My book Female Firebrands just came out in January.

What message do you promote?

I am all about mission-driven, successful people who advocate for each other. When we come from a place of abundance and not scarcity, it’s clear that not only is there room for...
